Nice split ring kit for replacing hooks on lures or building lures and rigs on your own. I use a split ring to improve hookups on my blade baits I build and this kit makes that process easier. The included split ring pliers is a great bonus.

Excellent! The trick is to open the split on the outside of the ring, not the closest to ones hand, where one would naturally open it. Then clip it on to the item, release. Use a different pair of pliers to twist it on, et voilà!

I bought three split ring pliers just to avoid having an issue of the pliers being too big for the small split rings I'm using, just like this case. The tip of the pliers would not fit into the ring because it is very small, but this would be handy for the larger split rings. I still have to find my split ring pliers that I thought I knew where I placed it.

Great set to have to repair most light duty rings or single rings that fail, the split rings take some effort to put on. But will not easily open up like single rings if pulled.

And I question the claim that these rings are stainless steel. They are more than mildly magnetic. And they remain slightly magnetized after very briefly testing them with a small weak (iron type) magnet. See the video.
